It was extremely encouraging to see an excellent attendance at the monthly Bible Class on Sunday, January 8.
Derek Laverty (Bible Class Leader) welcomed Albert McNally and Phil Buchanan to their first Bible Class and also paid tribute to two good friends of the Old Boys’ Association, Mrs Vera Vennard and the Rev. David Neilands, who had both sadly passed away since the December Bible Class. Rev. Thomas Stevenson led the meeting in prayer.
There were two speakers, Mr. Stephen McNeill from the ‘Gospel Goal’ Christian charity gave a brief talk on the work of the organisation which is aiming to put scripture verses on advertising hoardings at Irish League soccer grounds (senior and junior) during 2017. Also, the Rev. Aian Ferguson (Portadown Methodist Circuit Superintendent Minister) gave an challenging address, based on Matthew Chapter 11.
