7th Portadown BB Civic Reception

In recognition of winning the 2016/17 Northern Ireland District Boys’ Brigade senior 7-a-side soccer shield, the 7th Portadown Company Boys’ Brigade were granted a civic reception on Friday, September 22 at Craigavon Civic and Conference Centre by the Lord Mayor of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council, Councillor Gareth Wilson.
Mr. Kenneth Vennard BEM (7th Portadown Company Boys’ Brigade Company Captain and Vice- President,1st Portadown Company Boys’ Brigade Old Boys’ Association) and his Officers were also in attendance, along with Alderman Kenneth Twyble (former Company Captain, 7th Portadown Company Boys’ Brigade and Vice-President, 1st Portadown Boys’ Brigade Company Old Boys’ Association), Rev. Aian Ferguson (Portadown Methodist Circuit Superintendent and Company Chaplain, 7th Portadown Company Boys’ Brigade), Mr. Jonathan Gracey (Regional Director, Boys’ Brigade Northern Ireland and member of 1st Portadown Company Boys’ Brigade Old Boys’ Association), Mr. Steven Wright (Chairman, 1st Portadown Company Boys’ Brigade Old Boys’ Association), Mr. Timothy Vennard (member of 1st Portadown Company Boys’ Brigade Old Boys’ Association and former member of 7th Portadown Company Boys’ Brigade) and Councillor Louise Templeton.
Following the reception, the Company were given a tour and talk in the Council chamber and also visited the Mayor’s Parlour
